The 2017 IYM programme ran from 9-14 July. Students stayed at the Silverstream Retreat, Lower Hutt and travelled each day to a variety of technology businesses, Crown Research Institutes and Tertiary Education Providers in the Wellington region.
Participants experienced a range of technologies through hands-on activities and witnessed innovation they never thought possible.
They heard stories of inspiration from other women who have built careers and businesses working in the technology and innovation sector. They mixed with a wide range of women from a cross-section of business sectors who think outside the square, who apply their creativity to innovate and who are passionate about science and technology.

The cost to students was $100. The balance of the cost of $450 was sponsored by Rotary Clubs in the region.
